Welcome from Jo

Jo
Please use this blog to share prayers, pictures, words, stories etc of how God is at work through this time and I promise to reciprocate in sharing how your prayers for my life are being answered. This isn’t about Jo Grant, nor Aquila, you, nor other agendas other than our heavenly father being glorified and I give Him praise for all he has done and is doing through this journey, rough though it may feel some days.
Yours with love and thanks
Jo

Hi Jo. You know what I’m like and I know that you will know that I don’t know what to say. I did go to the Baptist Church this morning and I took Deb with me.
Forgive my ignorance but I haven’t been to church in my life except for weddings and stuff however I said a prayer for you and my Uncle Alex and I felt strangely at ease in there.
I really really really hope this works and I so feel for you and your familly. I’m actually going to do the prayer thing every day.
I don’t want to bore you with stuff and don’t think I don’t care because I really do, I look at your number in my phone every day and think of you and Esther and your sons and husband but I am a coward and don’t know quite what to say. I also think that you should not have the stress of peoples feelings when you should be concentrating on your own.
I know this will sound strange Jo, but tell that god of yours that if he cures you I will go to church all the time. Ha ha. I was surprised I wasn’t struck down at the door, but I wasnt and I felt a bit calm, ha ha and knowing wot I’m like that was a miracle for me. So I’m SURE you will be fine cos you deserve that.
Joking aside Jo, please get better. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Jo, when praying for you this week God spoke to me about our life as vessels.
We are all vessels. If we are empty than we lack purpose. A half full vessel is an internal work but an overflowing vessel is effective for God’s glory. Only when overflowing can we reach and touch others.
Jo you are overflowing. In your weakness he is strong. In your sickness he is glorified.
Jo simply keep in his word. Keep giving out and God will provide for all your needs.
In your healing God has used the opportunity for you to slow down and hear more of him.
You are not just in physical restoration but spiritual restoration too.
Your testimony isn’t in what you do, but in who you are.
You have been faithful to God and he has promised his faithfullness to you.
It’s so awesome to watch you grow and to see your faithfulness and thankfulness to our almighty and powerful God. In every situation he is greater and deserves all our praise.
Thank you Jo,
Love Nikki
The Lord has recently given me a scripture in Zephaniah and it is burning in my heart for you Jo. Zeph 3 v17:
The Lord your God is with you
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.
Love you and we are all praying at Sandes and everyone else I know is praying too.

Hi Jo,
A few of us gathered on the day of prayer for you in the early hours! As we were praying, one of our group turned to Psalm 31 v 14-21:
14 But I trust in you, O LORD;
I say, “You are my God.”
15 My times are in your hands;
deliver me from my enemies
and from those who pursue me.
16 Let your face shine on your servant;
save me in your unfailing love.
17 Let me not be put to shame, O LORD,
for I have cried out to you;
but let the wicked be put to shame
and lie silent in the grave.
18 Let their lying lips be silenced,
for with pride and contempt
they speak arrogantly against the righteous.
19 How great is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you,
which you bestow in the sight of men
on those who take refuge in you.
20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them
from the intrigues of men;
in your dwelling you keep them safe
from accusing tongues.
21 Praise be to the LORD,
for he showed his wonderful love to me
when I was in a besieged city.
As we were praying, there was a real sense of being kept by God in the face of the attack of the enemy. The shaming of the lies of the enemy: like attacks and schemes against you dropping away powerless, all potency removed from them.
So that’s what we were praying into, and we will of course continue to do so.
Lots of Love
